An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

It’s All About the Children

February 2nd, 2016

I couldn’t resist taking a picture of these bronze statues of children. The innocence of children is remarkable. Children should be protected at all costs. It is our duty as adults to make sure that this is the case…always.

One Week Away!

One Million Acts of Kindness Week
This annual event begins on the second Monday in February and continues for the week. During this week, groups of people are encouraged to band together and do some sort of community event. Please consider doing something as an individual or as a group during this wonderful celebration. Bogart thinks all of us should too!

Childrens Museum

January 30th, 2016

Today was our annual visit to the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples. It is always such a nice invitation and a great way to connect with many of the students we have visited in their schools these past few weeks. Thank you to everyone who made this visit possible. Many of the employees, administrators and board members came out during the course of the day to talk with us. The Bogart books were a very big hit. I even brought the puppetshow out and set it up next to the bus, there was very great interest from children and parents alike.

Naples Alternative School

January 29th, 2016

1-29-16

Oftentimes, the students who need a message of kindness in their lives, appreciate it the most.
Today’s visit to the Naples Alternative school afforded me the opportunity to speak with students who have had some struggles in their lives. All of the students are looking for a little kindness in their lives, someone who will listen to them, someone to trust them and someone to tell them how moving forward with their lives with kindness is going to be so incredible.
Many of these students either shook my hand or thanked me for my inspirational talks. I loved talking to these students!

Double Duty

January 28th, 2016

1-28-16

Today I visited two schools in Naples, Florida located in Collier County. This morning I visited Golden Terrace Elementary school and my afternoon travels took me to Lely Elementary school. These four programs today were a breeze. My voice is a little hoarse, but none the worse for the wear. I really love talking to students, the more, the merrier!
Every visit to every school is a special visit and Bogart and I put our hearts into spreading this message of kindness to the students, faculty, educators and administrators.

Kindness in Immokalee

January 27th, 2016

1-27-16

It was a soaking wet drive to and from Village Oaks Elementary school in Immokalee, Florida today, but well worth it. The students at the school were so complementary to both me and Bogart for making the trip to pay a visit to them. They asked so many great questions and had such wonderful insight into kindness. Wonderful things are being accomplished at this school.

I Absolutely Love This!

Sabal Palm Elementary school I had a literacy night today. Dozens of parents and the PTO learned firsthand about One Million Acts of Kindness. It was a perfect evening which capped my two afternoon kindness programs to the students at the school. I was invited to sign copies of Bogart’s book. They sold like hotcakes!
The books are a wonderful way for the kids to continue their journey of being kind long after my visit.
