The fifth annual Spring into Kindness Day is in the books. This annual event, always celebrated on the first day of spring, challenges the individual to do a kind act for someone out of their circle of friends and family. This fun day-long celebration is spreading across the United States. The photo today is one of our celebrations on the Santa Monica pier in California. Thank you to Spring Hope and her crew who help to grow this celebration every year.
Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide
In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
It’s A Wrap
March 24th, 2016Command Performance
March 22nd, 2016My previous days program at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church was attended by Peggy Totten, the preschool teacher at Saint Mark’s. She was thrilled and saw that our program would be great for her four and five-year-old students. This group was all ears on me and of course all eyes on Bogart. What a very engaging and kind group of children they are.
Children’s Youth Group
March 21st, 2016Saint Marks Episcopal Church on Marco Island, Florida had me come to talk to their youth group. Many of the children attend Tommie Barfield Elementary school so they have had the pleasure of meeting Bogart at their school over the past four years.
This group was so attentive and they hung on Bogart’s every movement. He stole the show once again.
Spring into Kindness
March 20th, 2016Today is the first day of spring which means it is time to celebrate kindness in a very big way:
Parents and Children
March 18th, 2016When you talk to nearly 14,000 children in schools, in a small geographical area, you are going to cross paths with many of them when you remain in that area. Today, one of those students, Alec and his mother Andrea stopped by the Kindness Bus. Alec is a student at Calusa Elementary School and in seeing one of my programs a few weeks ago, his mom already knew of my mission. You cannot meet a more polite young man. Thank you for being so kind Alec, your mom probably has a lot to do with that.
Omega Group
March 16th, 2016Thank you to the Omega Group at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church on Marco Island, Florida for inviting me to talk to their group. This group is meeting for eight weeks and brainstorming about some of the great things they can do to help comfort others. I was brought in to talk about the “richness” of who they are and the God-given gifts they should put to use.
A Very Special Visit
March 15th, 2016Today Bogart and I visited Grizzlie Bear’s Preschool. This neighborhood learning center fills a very big need in the community. The school is a very nurturing environment for these young children and you can tell how well they are cared for by their kind behavior and respect during our visit. This is one very special place.
