An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

Father Kindness

June 8th, 2016

6-8

I read recently met with Father Ed Estok of the Saint Albert the Great parish in North Royalton, Ohio. Father is going to start a kindness initiative throughout the entire city of North Royalton and he asked me to help him make this happen.  What a wonderful honor!
He also has a very playful Boston terrier named Buddy. Bogart and Buddy had the time of their lives playing while father Ed and I talked about some of the specifics of this wonderful, new initiative.

D-Day!

June 6th, 2016

On this D-Day anniversary, God bless the brave souls who protected our freedoms and liberated the lives of so many throughout the world.
To all my World War II Veteran friends, thank you for your service to our country.

Lessons of Kindness

June 5th, 2016

6-5

I love watching people approach and spend time reading the messages on the Kindness Bus and Kindness Bicycle. This caring mother was teaching her child about some of the lessons on why it is so important not to bully someone else. What a lucky boy he is to have someone in his life to guide him.

Big Trucks

June 4th, 2016

6-4

One of my favorite events is the “Meet the Trucks” event in Lakewood, Ohio. This event is always well attended by families from western suburbs of Cleveland. This captive audience always shows big interest in the Kindness Bus and Kindness Bicycle. Thank you to all for the many great conversations and questions.

Baldwin Wallace University

June 2nd, 2016

6-2

Visiting this nearly empty campus was well worth the few hours spent. Most all students are gone for the summer but many remain here for summer work and courses. This campus in a small city of Berea, Ohio I met some very friendly students and residents in nearby neighborhoods. I had a great time talking with very interested individuals.

Thank You

Service Learning

May 28th, 2016

5-28

“Are you awake?” were the words that appeared as a text from Mike Rubin, Service Learning teacher from Aurora High School in Ohio. Mike had just passed by Kindness Bus in his car and wondered if I wanted a coffee.
The Service Learning class was one of my favorite talks I did almost 2 years ago. A class of 18 students has now grown to 80 students. The students learn to discover the passion inside for helping others in their community and surrounding area. Mike invited me back to talk to his class once again when I return to Northeast Ohio in September. I am looking forward to being inspired and helping to inspire.
Oh yes, thanks for the coffee and muffins Mike!
