An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

Spring Into Kindness Day, Wrap Up

March 22nd, 2014

3-22-14

The 3rd annual “Spring Into Kindness” day was a success once again. Individuals interacting in kind ways with those they normally don’t, is what this day is all about. Thank you to everyone who took part and please spread word of this event to as many as you can.
Hats off to Spring de Haviland, co-founder of this event, for her tireless dedication…and even handing out carnations throughout southern California

“Spring into Kindness”

March 20th, 2014

3-20-14

Today’s, 3rd annual “Spring into Kindness” day is the brainchild of Hope Chase from Santa Monica, California. On this first day of spring, you are asked to surprise someone with an act of kindness.

It’s that simple. Go ahead! “Spring into Kindness.”

Tommie Barfield Elementary School, Marco Island, Florida

March 17th, 2014

3-17-14

I really enjoy being on the morning news in schools, it lets the kids know that Bogart will be visiting their classrooms, getting them prepared for our presentation.
Principal, Dr. Westberry and school Counselor, Leanne Hope were my guides as I  presented a program, one classroom at a time at this school. I love this format, talking to small groups. It seems to have the biggest impact and a more personal connection with everyone. This school is doing a great job creating a culture of kindness on campus. The students, educators and staff are working as one collective family as a continual mind set. It was a pleasure to visit once again.

Lauren Romero Yoga

March 16th, 2014

3-16-14

Some people take the act of helping others to an amazing level. Lauren is one such person. I recently visited her class in Naples to talk the yoga students. It is always a great way to connect with the local community. Lauren hosted this free class and had me bring Blue Bird by for all to see.
Local musician, Devon Meyers played beautiful music to help in creating this three-way karmic event.
Visit www.naplesyogacenter.com to learn of Lauren’s kind heart.

Saint Patrick’s Day Parade

March 15th, 2014

3-15-14Whenever I can have a captive audience of 30,000 people view “Blue Bird” and all of its important messages, I am going to seize the opportunity.
The Saint Patrick’s Day parade in Naples was just the event.
Thank you to Mary, Ashley, Elana and Alex for handing out flyers, rolling the Kindness Bicycle along and carrying Bogart…yes, carrying Bogart along the parade route. They also got the crowd cheering along the entire parade route. What a great day to spread kindness.

A woman who is doing amazing work with children throughout the world is Lulu Carter. She started a program for children in Naples, Florida that helps children learn valuable life lessons while teaching them about the arts.
Her website is a great way to learn about her passion for helping children.

House of Gaia

March 13th, 2014

3-13-14

House of Gaia is an amazing place. Lulu Carter, the driving force behind this facility, inspires children with wonderful lessons in life while teaching them about the arts. Every time I come here I learn something new about the good she is doing for kids around the world.
A couple of groups of children painted a beautiful mural, with the helping hand of Lulu, during my two visits over the past couple of weeks. A big thanks for them to improve upon the beauty of “Blue Bird.”
The words added alongside of the mural are: Children are precious gifts from God. Nurture them. Let them grow…like beautiful flowers. It is our duty as adults, to make sure, this is the only outcome!
