In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.

With anything we do, if we put our hearts into something, the results we produce have more meaning to us and seem to have a bigger impact on others. Every day before I set out on my ride, I say a prayer for those who may need a helping hand because of the abuse they may be experiencing at the hands of others. I pray for those who are the abusers, so they may find kindness in their hearts. I know these actions produce wonderful results.
When I wrote the title for today’s photo, I was going to write about the produce stands at the farmers market. I’m happy that I was guided to write about the verb and not the noun.

Bogart met Brutus today and they ran circles around each other. The thought of getting another Bogart to be a companion for Bogart has been on my mind for a year or so. In two years, the Kindness Bus Tour will have two Bogarts. “Double the pleasure, double the fun.”

I had the opportunity to ride by my boyhood home this past week and took full advantage. The house is identical to the way it looked since I left thirty-eight years ago. Only fond memories of that neighborhood and home.

Today, at least 1,000 families attended the Big Truck event in Lakewood, Ohio. I love venues like these where I’m able to talk to parents and children at the same time. One of the displays, Operation KidWatch was on hand to photograph and fingerprint children for identification cards. There was a long line at their truck all day as the children got to meet and feel safe with police officers. It is a good early lesson for children.

I’ve had a lot of moral support from my eight sisters all my life. Over the past six years on the Kindness Bus Tour, even more so. We are united in our thoughts about helping to put an end to bullying. I was proud as my sister Janet stood shoulder to shoulder with me by the Kindness Bicycle.

Hundreds of thousands of One Million Acts of Kindness stickers are scattered about the globe. I love coming across one as I travel the country. Just seeing this, got me thinking of how many people might have seen this individual sticker in the truck’s rear window. Multiply that number by hundreds of thousands, that is a very big number!
