In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.

Where there is a crowd, I try to be there, especially if the makeup of the crowd will be families. The Taste of Tremont festival afforded me the opportunity to connect with thousands of people. John and Darla Motil stopped by the Kindness Bicycle. Darla has been a long term executive of the Achievement Center for Children which helps children with autism.

The 2nd annual VeloSano ride to cure cancer is taking place this weekend. Thousands of riders are raising millions of dollars to fund research for this disease. I have been raising awareness about this ride during my rides throughout northeast Ohio. Good luck to all riders!

There are many people who work to protect children from harm. Two people I would like to mention are Sondra Miller of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and Chelsea Graham a Juvenile Probation Officer. Their actions are having a positive impact on children’s lives throughout Northeast Ohio.

Yesterday’s ride to honor a fallen police officer was embraced by an entire community. Young children to elderly individuals showed their appreciation to me yesterday as I honored K9 Police Officer Josh Miktarian. It was obvious by the response that this man will never be forgotten.
Thank you to everyone in the Twinsburg, Ohio community for embracing this honor ride.

Today, the 7th anniversary of the death of Twinsburg K9 Officer, Josh Miktarian, I rode a “12 hour shift” to honor him.
This ride was primarily along the length of Officer Joshua T. Miktarian Memorial Parkway in Twinsburg, Ohio. It began at 8am and ended at 8pm.
Josh made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting all of us from harm.
May none of us ever forget the price he paid.
