An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

Victory Florida Kindness Tour

November 2nd, 2015

11-2-15

For the past two weeks I have been putting together an itinerary for my 1,600 mile ride/drive around the perimeter of Florida to honor veterans. This 27 day long journey will take me to 35 cities where I will visit veterans hospitals, veterans nursing facilities, veteran cemeteries, various veteran groups, VFW’s, American Legions, etc…
This ride will begin on November 10 eve of Veterans Day from Naples Florida and will return on December 7 Pearl Harbor day. The ride is to honor the bravery and sacrifices of all veterans.

I Love a Great Story

I had the honor of meeting World War II Air Force First Lieutenant Richard Thackston as I rode through Collier County. What a wonderful conversation we had. He talked of his memories of World War II and how he flew missions with Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable. This very proud American was so excited to see the Kindness Bicycle with its patriotic signs affixed.

Phlash Phelps has a radio show on XM Satellite Radio called 60s on 6. Every week he features a state and talks about some of the cities and fun-facts of that state. He now includes kindness recordings that I send into him which mention acts of kindness that I have witnessed as I travel across the country. His show is on weekday mornings from 6 AM till 1 PM on station 6.
Thank you Phlash from the bottom of my heart.

Naples Kindness

A huge tip of the hat to McQuaid & Company and Lois Bolin for inviting me to take part in the Naples Stone Crab Festival this weekend. Dozens of families with children who know Bogart and the Kindness Bus stopped by to talk with me and visit with Bogart. Many of them went home with a signed, personalized book of Bogart’s adventures. Thank you to all the old friends and new friends we met this past.

Submarine Veterans

How awesome it was to be positioned next to the Submarine Veterans display at the Naples Stone Crab Festival this weekend. This group of veterans were eager to share their stories of their active military service dating back to the 1940s.

The Flotilla 9-3 in Naples, Florida  patrols some of the most beautiful waters in the United States. This Coast Guard Auxiliary is all about boat and boating safety in southwest Florida. These volunteers are the civilian arm of the Coast Guard and are all about service to community.
Commander Barry Sullivan was more than happy to post one of my flyers for the upcoming ride to help spread the word.
