An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

Visiting Our Veterans in Nursing Homes

November 12th, 2015

11-12-15 2

Today I had the honor of visiting World War II veteran, Army Sergeant Raymond Klepp. What a proud man he is. He recounted to me some of the moments in his life and his military service. His pride brought him to tears on a couple of occasions. He presented me with a plaque from the 100th division, 397th infantry of which he was a part of in World War II. I will most certainly hang it on a very prominent place in my bus. I also visited three other veterans at this nursing facility, the surprise of seeing my Kindness Bicycle roll into their rooms and the looks on their faces, meant the world to me and to them.

Veterans Day

November 11th, 2015

11-11-15

Today I headed north to Cape Coral and Fort Myers. I took part in Veterans Day pre-parade activities. I also headed over to the Iwo Jima Memorial to pay my respects to the veterans from World War II. We should all try to remember, as often as we can, the bravery and sacrifice of so many of our veterans and current military.

Marine Corps Lunch

November 10th, 2015

11-10-15 1

Today I was invited to speak to 60 Marines at a luncheon in Naples.
It was a very proud moment for me and it kicked off the beginning of my ride around the perimeter of Florida. Twenty-six children rang bells and sang patriotic songs to the crowd, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Later in the day Mayor Sorey of Naples presented me with a proclamation for this ride to honor veterans.

Freedom Park in Naples, Florida is one of the newer parks specifically meant for honoring veterans and the liberties and freedoms they protect. There was a banner hanging ceremony to honor a few Collier County residents who are veterans. It was a very proud moment for these individuals.

WWII Honor Flight

November 8th, 2015

11-8-15

What an honor it was to welcome back 70 World War II veterans from their Honor Flight to Washington DC.
These men and women spent a very full day traveling to the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial and Arlington Cemetery in Washington, DC. Over 1,000 people were on hand to welcome these heroes back to Southwest Florida. All of them had smiles on their faces from the memories of the day.
Thank you to everyone who made this day possible for these veterans.

Looking Forward to Tomorrow Night

November 6th, 2015

11-6-15

70 World War II veterans will leave on a day long trip to Washington DC to view the World War II Memorial Korean War Veterans Memorial and visit Arlington National Cemetery. They will arrive back in Southwest Florida tomorrow night where a very large crowd will gather to welcome them back. What an honor this will be to meet these heroes.

11-4-15

If you are a teacher, parent, counselor or principal of a school please contact me regarding our personalized videos to congratulate the students at your school. I will create a short video with Bogart mentioning your school and the acts of kindness that are being done during the course of this school year.
The videos are free for the asking. It is so important to inspire children to be kind.
