An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

Village Prep School

September 10th, 2016

9-10

What a wonderful learning environment Village Prep Cliffs campus is. Hundreds of students were treated to morning programs about kindness. They then came out to walk around the Kindness Bus to choose their favorite word or quote.
Thank you to Dean of Students, Jonathan Lubas for the invite to talk with the students at his school. It really was a special day.

Aurora High School Service Learning

September 8th, 2016

Aurora High School Service Learning class invited me to talk to their group to learn of all the good they are doing in the community and to talk to them about our travels. Thank you to Service Learning teacher Melissa Foster, Principal Dr. Paul Milcetich  and Aurora School Superintendent Pat Ciccantelli

Children of the Future

September 6th, 2016

Thank you to Ryan for coming out on his day off from school and helping to do some work on the house Bogart and I are working on. Ryan’s favorite quote on the bus is “be a hero to someone every day.”

Waiting on Dad

September 4th, 2016

9-4

Work needed to be done on the Kindness Bus, so Bogart had to remain behind today. He is patiently awaiting my return.

Baldwin Wallace

September 3rd, 2016

9-3

I had the afternoon available to visit the Baldwin Wallace campus in Berea, Ohio. Many wonderful conversations with students and a department head came out and told me their motto for this year is Kindness!

Topping It Off

September 2nd, 2016

9-2

I am excited about the addition of these words of inspiration on the top of the Kindness Bus. People in second-story windows and above, helicopters, and possibly even the International Space Station will be able to view these wonderful words.

Dr. John Stratton

August 30th, 2016

8-30

Friend, John Stratton who founded the Ashland Center for Non violence left this world for a place that knows no violence. It was a pleasure and an honor to have known him.
I will always miss the kindness of this wonderful man.
