An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

Ohio Fallen Heroes

October 6th, 2016

10-06

A few short miles off interstate 71 in Sunbury, Ohio is the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial. 282 heroes from Ohio have given their lives to the war on terrorism. Thousands of heroes across the United States have given their lives and tens of thousands have suffered debilitating injuries. Please please take the time to pause and reflect on the sacrifices that are unfortunately overlooked far too often. This memorial was a must-stop along my travels.

Ashland University

October 5th, 2016

10-05

Ashland University feels like home away from home every time I visit this campus. The Kindness Bus is parked in front of the Ashland Center for Nonviolence to meet with these kind, caring folks today.
One of my favorite people on the face of the earth, Dr. John Stratton, founded the Ashland Center for Nonviolence to help create a kinder world for all of us, passed away this past summer. His quote, “Kindness for everyone, no exceptions” is prominently displayed on the Kindness Bus as I travel the country.

Harrison Elementary

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful visit to Harrison Elementary School in Lakewood, Ohio today. The 400 or so students and faculty at the school started a kindness program at the beginning of the year, helping the community with their kind actions.
This school with their H.O.P. Program Will help the community throughout the school year. What a wonderful lesson for children to learn.

I am really pleased with this book. The story follows Bogart as he goes for a walk and chases away every potential friendship that comes his way. He gets up the next day to make amends with these newfound friends.

City of Independence Fall Festival

September 24th, 2016

9-24

We were at the City of Independence Fall Festival. Of course Bogart is a huge hit to the hundreds of families in attendance.
The four puppet shows which began at 1 PM and were performed every hour were loved by children and adults alike. The puppet show, “In the Beginning, Middle and End, It’s Always a Good Time to Make a New Friend” was met with rave reviews.
