Thank you to very proud WWII Air Force Second Lieutenant Richard Thackston for the great conversation for the past two hours. I enjoy this gentleman’s conversation every time he and I crossed paths. He always has great stories to tell from the memories over his 90+ years. One of my favorites is that he flew with Jimmy Stewart and Clark Gable in Europe during World War II.
Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide
In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.

January 30th, 2017Open Your Heart
January 28th, 2017One of the parts of my programs for students is a folded up heart. It begins by revealing only one face and as I read the following poem, I unfold the piece of paper to reveal the heart. I talk with students about being the one person who starts a chain reaction to cause all the other faces on the heart to smile because of their kind acts.
It starts with one person, the kind acts that you do. When spread to another, it then becomes two. Two becomes four and four becomes eight. To show all your kindness to everyone, you never should wait. Being kind to each other, when done every day, will make people happy, it might just be something you say. So only do kind things, for family and friends. And for those you don’t know, don’t ever let your kindness end. A whole world sharing kindness, we can all do our part. Because it can spread across the world, when it comes from your heart.

Ken and Kathy
January 22nd, 2017The biggest benefit of being on the road promoting kindness is the people I meet. Some of the people I meet it’s as if I have known them a lifetime, Ken and Kathy O’ Renick are such people. They are kind, caring and God loving people who think the world of the mission of One Million Acts of Kindness. It is such a blessing that they have come into my life.
