An 8 year ride for kids

Put an end to Bullying & Adolescent Suicide

In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.
My mission on this ride has but one focus: To save kids lives.

I Love Cookies

February 18th, 2018

2-18

It’s that time a year again, Girl Scout cookies are ready for your consumption. I love buying boxes of the thin mints for the military and men and women in blue. I think Troop 467 made their sign specifically for me.

In the Line of Duty

February 17th, 2018

2-17

Took an early morning, two hour drive to Westerville, Ohio with my grand nephew, Mason, to the funerals of Officer Morelli and Officer Joering of the Westerville Police Department. It was a nice way to honor and pay our respect to these family men who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Veteran Rudy

February 16th, 2018

2-16

Taking a break from the rain late this morning, I visited with Rudy who was a member of the Landing Craft Infantry in the Pacific during WWII. At 93 years old and a lifelong Clevelander, he shared wonderful stories of his life and loved learning that One Million Acts of Kindness was founded in his hometown. Thank you for your service Rudy.

Coffee Kindness

February 15th, 2018

2-15

Thank you Sergeant Dan from the Independence, Ohio Police Department for bringing over coffee, welcoming the promotion of kindness in his community.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

February 14th, 2018

2-14

Bogart wishes everyone a happy Valentine’s Day! #Kindness #BostonTerrier #BeBogartsValentine

Pitching Kindness

February 13th, 2018

2-13

One guy “pitching” kindness and another guy “pitching” baseballs and kindness. Baseball all-star phenom, Bob Feller lived just down the road from me for 20 years. I always admired this man who would show up out of nowhere to talk with the little-leaguers. He was a very big man with a very big heart of kindness.
I spent the better part of the day in downtown Cleveland “pitching” kindness and couldn’t help but stop by his bronze statue outside of Cleveland Indians stadium. Days don’t get much better than this.

Taking Kindness to the Streets

February 12th, 2018

2-12This first day of One Million Acts Of Kindness Week, I’ve been inspired to take a message of kindness to the streets. Being in Cleveland until Saturday, I’ve made up some signs to help inspire others to be kind. It’s going to be quite a bit colder than Naples, so I will just have to bundle up.
