In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.

Jenny and her two daughters, Emma and Ella, were taking photos by the Kindness Bus, so I introduced myself and after talking with them, sent them on their way with their personalized copies of Bogart’s children’s books. Jenny loves talking to her two daughters about putting kind words into action.

My visit to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school last evening was a “very big help” talking with students, teachers, and parents.

What an incredible way to end an incredible day. It is always such a joy to visit great friends when I am in South Florida. Thank you to Mark, Rick & Danuta, and new-found friend Krish, who flew 24 hours from India yesterday. I certainly felt welcomed. Great eats, great stories, and great catching up since last year. Such beautiful loving kindness and generosity in the hearts of these individuals.

I paid a short but very powerful visit to the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School campus yesterday afternoon. Many comforting conversations were much needed. I will be back for a longer visit again today.

Four-year-old James and his mother stopped by to see the Kindness Bus they have been seeing in their hometown, Vero Beach for the past several years. James’ mother said, “Seeing the bus up close and in person could quite possibly have changed the course of events in James’ life.” What a wonderful thought that is.

With my visit to Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Florida just a few days away, I’ve been asking teenagers what message they might have for the Parkland community. Thank you to JT and Nyla for their message they would like me to convey: “We are here for you.”
