In year 3 of this mission, I introduced a bicycle ride to my travels to raise
awareness about issues kids are having to deal with at far too young an age.
Bullying and Adolescent Suicide are two of these challenging burdens most kids
will unfairly have to overcome throughout the remainder of their lives. At rides
end we will have ridden enough miles to traveled the perimeter of the earth, twice.

Great friend, Rodger Hensley requested a spot to write on the Blue Bird of Kindness. Being bullied most of his life for being gay, he has suffered more than most people for just being the way he is. Who are any of us to feel we have a right to judge?
Rodger’s words, “God’s love knows no limitations, gays are his children also!!”

The world could sure use it about right now!

What a great day for a ride in Vero Beach, Florida!
I joined in with a group who was spreading positive messages to those who passed by. It was nice to have some kind company.

Six years have passed and this one lone One Million Acts of Kindness sticker remains where someone placed it in Vero Beach. This busy parking lot has hundreds of cars exiting every day. Tens of thousands have seen this simple message over the years. I know it has made an impact!

Yesterday there was a wonderful parade to celebrate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birth. I rode the Kindness Bicycle in Gifford. What a great, last minute decision. Thousands of cheering attendees loved the message.
Earlier in the day, I talked with good friends from Vero Beach, Rodger and Denny. We worked on finding an appropriate acronym for school children about MLK. Here is our acronym.
M is the Roman numeral for 1,000
L is Lessons
K is Kindness
So, this wonderful man can now also be honored by schoolchildren by learning 1,000 lessons of kindness throughout their lives.

One Million Acts of Kindness Week begins in 22 days. From February 8-15th, do some kind action which needs attention. Big or small, any act of kindness will do. Try to get a group together and see what you can accomplish.

Pelican Marsh Elementary School and Sea Gate Elementary School invited me to have programs for their students on Collier County Kindness Awareness Day. It was such an honor to talk with over 1,700 students about all the goodness they can spread in their lives. Parents and teachers alike were very interested in this annual event. A very big shout out to Stacey Dooney and Melissa Kahn for arranging visits at these schools.
Thanks to Susanna Tocco for arranging a visit to the Naples Children’s Museum
