Thank you to Sensei Michelle Del Giorno for the invitation to Epic Martial Arts to talk to three classes of her students about kindness. My mission dovetails perfectly with what she is accomplishing in her studio.
The motto of her studio is, “Out of the dojo and into the world.” In conjunction with earning their degrees of belts, each student needs to perform acts of kindness and do community service. I was so impressed how well-behaved, knowledgeable and how caring the students are. The lessons they are learning are character traits they can rely upon for their entire lives.
