“Are you awake?” were the words that appeared as a text from Mike Rubin, Service Learning teacher from Aurora High School in Ohio. Mike had just passed by Kindness Bus in his car and wondered if I wanted a coffee.
The Service Learning class was one of my favorite talks I did almost 2 years ago. A class of 18 students has now grown to 80 students. The students learn to discover the passion inside for helping others in their community and surrounding area. Mike invited me back to talk to his class once again when I return to Northeast Ohio in September. I am looking forward to being inspired and helping to inspire.
