Shatalya is visiting Nashville from New York City for the Dove Awards. She sings some amazing gospel music and was here to do some performing as a chorus singer with Reba McEntire. She came upon the Kindness Bicycle and Kindness Bus and I caught her snapping a picture of the “someone needs you” panel on the rear of the bike. Thank you for the kind words Shatalya.

9-23Thank you to this very kind and generous couple, Adam and Dana who follow oversized loads on our nation’s roads. This couple from Seay to Seay Escorts wrote a very generous check to offset some of our recent, unexpected expenses.

Kindness is Fun

10-18

Timmy is the son of a friend in Yellow Springs, Ohio. I have watched this young boy grow over the past few years to become a very kind, caring individual. He is very talkative and full of such beautiful life. He loves Bogart and singing him the Bogart song many times during the day. He asked if he could help me wash the Kindness Bus before I left town. I mentioned to him that that would be an act of kindness. He clearly just wanted to do it for fun. I mentioned to him that kindness should always be fun because it brings such joy to the person doing the act of kindness and the person getting the act of kindness. It truly was a fun act of kindness. Of course you already know that we made it rain with the hose which brought giggles and joy to this beautiful young man.

10-16

Eight years ago I pulled the Kindness Bus into a parking space in Yellow Springs, Ohio. When I got out to look at how much more room I had left, the car immediately behind had custom license plate “BE KIND” The car belongs to a local resident named Donna Haller. She teaches special needs students at Yellow Springs High School. This year I parked in the first available parking space in Yellow Springs, unbeknownst to me Donna’s house was one house away from the Kindness Bus.
Donna has a new grandson she’s very proud of.  The family calls her Nana Donna.
