I am hopefully at the light at the end of the tunnel with my eye surgeries and procedures. My original retina surgery was in mid-September with dozens of visits since. The glasses I now will wear are now a prominent feature for sun protection.
My eye is still on the mend, improving with each visit, and I will have one last appointment in three months…I hope.

Please Be My Last Appointment
Saturday, June 20th, 2015Friends Out and About
Thursday, June 18th, 2015I always love seeing friends and supporters out and about on my rides and travels. My friend Dave is a big supporter of my mission. Thank you to everyone who help in so many ways to spread word of this mission.
“Stop Bullying Now”
Tuesday, June 16th, 2015I met Zarius and Zhataron on a ride through Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Both boys said that they loved the signs on the Kindness Bicycle. I was blown away when their mother told me that Zhataron has a “Stop Bullying Now!” sign. I love when kids help to spread peace and an awareness of non-violence. Many adults can learn a valuable lesson from these young men.
Produce
Sunday, June 14th, 2015With anything we do, if we put our hearts into something, the results we produce have more meaning to us and seem to have a bigger impact on others. Every day before I set out on my ride, I say a prayer for those who may need a helping hand because of the abuse they may be experiencing at the hands of others. I pray for those who are the abusers, so they may find kindness in their hearts. I know these actions produce wonderful results.
When I wrote the title for today’s photo, I was going to write about the produce stands at the farmers market. I’m happy that I was guided to write about the verb and not the noun.
Bogart and Brutus
Friday, June 12th, 2015Bogart met Brutus today and they ran circles around each other. The thought of getting another Bogart to be a companion for Bogart has been on my mind for a year or so. In two years, the Kindness Bus Tour will have two Bogarts. “Double the pleasure, double the fun.”
Back to My Roots
Wednesday, June 10th, 2015I had the opportunity to ride by my boyhood home this past week and took full advantage. The house is identical to the way it looked since I left thirty-eight years ago. Only fond memories of that neighborhood and home.
Operation KidWatch
Monday, June 8th, 2015Today, at least 1,000 families attended the Big Truck event in Lakewood, Ohio. I love venues like these where I’m able to talk to parents and children at the same time. One of the displays, Operation KidWatch was on hand to photograph and fingerprint children for identification cards. There was a long line at their truck all day as the children got to meet and feel safe with police officers. It is a good early lesson for children.
