What a fun time of year. Families getting together, meals of hours of planning and preparation, shopping and volunteering.
This Thanksgiving day I decided to help with volunteering at a local shelter. Donna, who heads this shelter said they had one position left when I arrived early in the morning. While the lion share of volunteers cooked and served several hundred meals, I was put in charge of drive-up donations. Wow! I was quickly reminded of the generosity of individuals. I took in $2,770 in donations to help feed, house and clothe those in need.
I hope all of you had an incredible weekend.
