Learning to ride a bike takes guidance and persistent assistance. Enjoying the ride is the long term objective. The same holds true for life’s ride of being guided with kindness.
Schooling children at home provides an opportunity for parents to guide them with kindness with persistent assistance. Being a parent should be a dedication of one’s life as role model and positive influence to children.
A parent is the child’s “training wheels” for life.

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013My son Peter and five of his friends have spent the last 29 days hiking the John Muir Trail in California. This test of one’s fortitude is a challenging way to inspire a person to an awareness of their physical limitations.
Being able to meet with some of this adventurous group in San Francisco the day after they finished, gave me the opportunity to find out some of the inspiring challenges, still fresh in their minds, that they had to overcome during this month-long adventure.
They have truly been an inspiration to me as I continue on with my mission, with an increased awareness of the wonderful lessons, that challenges in life has to offer.

The Kindness Bus has a global reach with the 50 or so languages of words written on its exterior. Children of all ages from across the world have spent time enjoying and learning some of life’s amazing lessons The Kindness Bus displays.
Upon learning The Kindness Bus was nearby, Alexandra, with her family, drove in from neighboring Oakland to take the time to have her children read some of the important lessons that are there for the embracing.
