On this Labor Day, I rode to the final few Firehouses and last Precinct in Queens. I now only have one last borough to visit, the Bronx. This summer has flown by faster than I could ever pedal.
Andre from the Union Turnpike Firehouse was a big help in keeping me going by fueling me up with some double strength coffee. He and I shared some great stories.
The Firefighters at the Springfield Boulevard Firehouse got a call as I was talking with them. Mike, one of the Firefighters called the next house I was riding to, to thank me and send me a gift of appreciation in the mail.
The men and women in blue at the 107 Precinct were all ears, listening to my itinerary across the country. They are going to spread the word.
A big helping of gratitude to Chris from Ireland who works at Annie Moore’s in New York City, for the huge interest in The Kindness Bicycle Ride for Heroes.
